If you’ve been looking for a reason to get outside and get moving, Starkville has you covered. With several races coming up, there are plenty of chances to run, walk, and cheer alongside friends and neighbors while enjoying everything our community has to offer.

Starting off strong with the annual Frostbite on Saturday, January 31st. Head to Main Street and brave the cold for this beloved event, presented by Chick-fil-A of Starkville. The Frostbite brings runners together for a classic winter race tradition and offers three race distances to choose from a 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon.
On Saturday, February 21st, the race season continues with an event that blends fitness and local history. The Museum Miles: Race Through History features a 5K and fun run that starts and ends at the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum. This race is also a fundraiser, supporting the museum’s mission to preserve and showcase Starkville’s rich heritage.

In March, we kick off the Starkville Stride, a walking and step-tracking challenge that runs for six weeks and brings the community together to stay active. From March 2nd to April 13th, participants and their teams will track steps using the Wellbeing+ app and compete for prizes along the way.
Whether you’re chasing a PR, trying a race for the first time, or working toward a healthier you, Starkville’s race season has something for everyone. These events are community-oriented, support local causes, and offer a great chance to meet fellow fitness lovers in our area. So lace up those sneakers, grab a friend, and make this race season one to remember!
