Where to Get Started
BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
Starkville delivers the best of both worlds. Its smaller population promotes a friendly, community-focused atmosphere, but its proximity to Mississippi State University means there’s always something fun to do. Whether you’re interested in sports, the arts, or continuing your education, Mississippi’s College Town has you covered.
Public education in Starkville and Oktibbeha County is provided by the Starkville Public School District. Two private schools also offer elementary and secondary education to students within the city limits. For those who homeschool, the Starkville Homeschool Music Cooperative allows students to participate in performing arts.
Mississippi State University
The proximity to MSU means access to lifetime learning, great sporting and cultural events, access to well-trained employees, ongoing cutting-edge research, and year-round activities.
