Starkville Public and Private Education
The New Starkville High School
The new Starkville High School, built in partnership with Mississippi State University, is the first of its kind in the nation to place a 9th-12th-grade traditional high school on a college campus.
The facility is now under construction.
Public education in Starkville and Oktibbeha County is provided by the Starkville Public School District. Two private schools also offer elementary and secondary education to students within the city limits. For those who homeschool, the Starkville Homeschool Music Cooperative allows students to participate in performing arts.
