The Starkville Community Market has been named the Best Farmers Market in Mississippi according to this year’s Mississippi Magazine ‘Best of’ Competition, highlighting the market’s role as a vibrant hub for local food, artisans, and community connection.
The annual “Best of Mississippi” honors celebrate standout destinations, businesses, and experiences across the state, as voted on by readers. The Starkville Community Market’s selection reflects strong community support and its growing reputation as a must-visit weekend destination in the Golden Triangle region.
Starkville Community Market Coordinator Charla Laney said, “The market is more than just a place to shop- it’s a place to connect. Connecting people to their food, their farmers, and each other.”
Laney added, “We’re proud to create a space where the community can come together and enjoy everything that makes Starkville special. This year’s presenting sponsor is the Starkville Cafe & The Camphouse. The 2026 season opens this weekend, and the market is held every Saturday from 8 a.m. at Fire Station Park, from May through October.
