Public art is ‘popping up’ nearly everywhere in many downtowns and cities across the United States. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Starkville Area Arts Council and the efforts of many other collaborative units, Starkville showcases many bright and uplifting works of public art throughout the community.

If you need to find a great backdrop for your #Instagram posts, many of Starkville’s public art locations are perfect. From the popular ‘Stark Vegas’ mural, to all the vibrant colors throughout the new Main Street planters, there is plenty of art to see in Mississippi’s College Town. The Lampkin Street mural is also proof of a multi-level collaborative effort featuring the Partnership’s Oktibbeha Young Leaders program.
