This weekend is shaping up to be a great one in Starkville, with events and activities that showcase everything we love about our community—from supporting local businesses to cheering on runners and continuing to show up for downtown during an exciting season of progress.
Shop Local at the Warehouse Sale 🛍️
If you love finding great deals while supporting local businesses, don’t miss the Shop Local Warehouse Sale this weekend. It’s a perfect opportunity to score discounts on a wide variety of items from Starkville retailers, all in one convenient spot. Ten local chamber retailers are participating, and the sale begins at 10 a.m. on Friday & Saturday at 308 University Drive – formerly, Western Auto. Admission is free!

Starkville Frostbite Half Marathon Brings the Energy 🏃♀️❄️
Early risers will be rewarded this weekend as runners take to the streets for the Starkville Frostbite Half Marathon. This annual race draws participants from near and far and brings plenty of excitement to town. This year’s race is set to be one of the largest ever, and road closures begin at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning. Be sure to plan for race-day traffic and enjoy the buzz it brings to the area.

Downtown Is Open During Phase Three 🚧➡️❤️
As phase three of the Main Street Revitalization Project continues, we want to remind everyone that downtown Starkville is open and ready for business. While construction is part of building a better Main Street for the future, our downtown shops, restaurants, and services still need your support right now. Grab a meal, do some shopping, or just take a stroll—every visit makes a difference and helps keep downtown thriving during this important phase of progress. See the updated map for Phase 3 that includes the closure of the Washington & Main intersection below. Public parking is still available, and we are especially thankful to First Baptist Church for the weekday use of their lots to make access downtown easier.
