It is the season for giving back. In light of the events of 2020, there are many people out there who could use a little extra support.

Bully’s Closet and Pantry
Drop off canned goods, peanut butter, cereals, fruit juices and more at 120 Morgan Ave. on MSU’s campus.
Emerson Family Center
Give the gift of warmth – collecting new blankets and new socks for families in need. Drop off at Emerson Family Center – 1504 Louisville St.
First Baptist Church Adoption and Foster Care Closet
Diapers, wipes, clothing and shoes for elementary school age kids
Palmer Home Thrift Store
Gently used furniture, clothing, and other items. Funds from these donations support the Palmer Home’s Mission. Drop off donations at 422B Highway 12 west.
Salvation Army
Donate clothing and goods to help the Salvation Army serve the most vulnerable members of your community.

Donate gently used furniture, kitchenware, lighting, and decorative items for their ReStore. Funds from the sale of items are used to support their mission.

OSERVS
- Blood drive December 9
- Alternative Christmas Giving
- Hygiene bag items: travel size toothpaste, soap, towels, shampoo, conditioner, combs, brushes, gift cards. These items are distributed to victims who have suffered a fire devastation
- Volunteers always needed (Call the office to sign up 662-384-2200)
- Monetary donations needed – To provide services to those in need, OSERVS depends on community donations and special events to raise funds. All funds remain in Oktibbeha County and the surrounding area to help disaster victims and to allow OSERVS to offer programs in health and safety to people of all ages in the community. Governed by an all-volunteer board of directors, OSERVS is chartered as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, tax-exempt organization with the Internal Revenue Service and the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office. All donations of money or goods to OSERVS are tax-deductible. Donors can mail check/ money order to 501 Highway 12 W. Suite 30 Starkville, MS. Donors can also use PayPal.com to donate, please note to OSERVS General.
- Office is open Monday and Tuesday 1 – 5 p.m.; Tuesday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
