A Scooba, Mississippi native, Polly Briggs graduated from Mississippi State University with a marketing degree in 2005. She always knew that she wanted to open her own business. Briggs’ passion for skincare pushed her to become a licensed esthetician in 2017.

Polly Briggs saw an opportunity to provide amenities in Starkville that had not been offered previously. The Beauty Bar’s local operation and strong ties to the Starkville community make all customers feel at home and comfortable.

“There was a need for hair and skincare services that were not at medical spas,” said Briggs. “This was the right market because people wanted those services that they couldn’t otherwise afford.”

The Beauty Bar offers skincare products from Hale & Hush and Skin Script. The latter includes pharmaceutical-grade, naturally based skincare with very potent ingredients. A high price tag is something you won’t find at The Beauty Bar.

Located just off Main Street on Lafayette Street, The Beauty Bar provides numerous services to its customers. Some of the most popular include eyebrow waxing, aqua facials and brow tinting.

If you are looking to reduce fine lines and wrinkles try the microdermabrasion, which can be added on to your facial treatment. Other facial add-ons include facial planing to remove unwanted hair from the face and an enzyme mask tailored to your specific skin needs.

“We offer an individualized, personalized experience to each client,” Briggs said.
