Located in the heart of historic Starkville, L.A. Green, a thriving retail opened in 2011 is sure to have something for the girls.
What started as an idea from Lauren Ann Cooper’s entrepreneurial spirit quickly turned into a reality when she opened the first L.A. Green storefront in Cotton Crossing nine years ago. Since then, she has moved to Starkville’s Main Street and has expanded the business to Tupelo, Atlanta, and Nashville.
Small Town Feel, Large Town Opportunities
Having a store in Starkville’s “safe and loving” atmosphere is what Lauren Ann wanted to make happen. For the past nine years of business, they have continuously taken pride in their customer service. The outstanding customer service and their goal to carry items that no one else has are what make them unique and a staple store for tourists and locals.
Lauren Ann Cooper and the L.A. Green staff love having a retail store in Starkville. She mentions, “Starkville is such a special place. The people supporting us are truly our friends and businesses are so great about collaborating and helping each other.”
Lauren Ann also believes in the importance of giving back to the community. She personally does this by coaching little league basketball and teaching a Sunday school class. Her giving spirit in her personal life is evident in the spirit of the store, as well with the L.A. Green fashion show that is performed every year to benefit the T.K. Martin Center and other yearly events to give back to the community.

L.A. Green’s hours typically run Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, during these unprecedented times with COVID-19 in our radar, their hours are Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
