Chadwick Lake

Chadwick Lake is adjacent to the Joe Frank Sanderson Center on the campus of Mississippi State University.  This scenic lake is great for relaxing, a light workout at our outdoor gym, some laps, or a picnic  You can even bring your pet to the lake, but make sure you have a leash! A walkway surrounds the lake’s southern end to allow for fishing or sightseeing.

Bird Watching & Walking

A short 0.9 mile walking trail surrounds the lake, providing easy access for birding. Birders have recorded 64 species here since 2001.

Fishing

Many people come to the lake to catch bass, crappie, and catfish. You must possess a Mississippi fishing license and a Chadwick Lake fishing permit to fish in Chadwick Lake.
