Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge
While the trails at the refuge are closed to bicycles, you can ride down any of the many roads to view wildlife, get away from it all, and just enjoy the ride. From pine stands to open prairies and lakes, there is a lot to see as you bike on the Refuge.
The refuge encompasses 48,00 acres and allows hunting, fishing, birding, hiking, and more. There are picnic tables set up alongside Bluff Lake – so pack a picnic and take a ride!
Lynn Lane Muli-purpose Path
For those looking to ride in-town, try the Lynn Lane Multi-purpose path. This 1.7 mile, 10-foot wide path begins at McKee Park and travels to Locksley Way and eventually to Mississippi State University.

Noxubee Hills Bike Trail in Tombigbee Ranger District
The Noxubee Hills Bike Trail encompasses about 30 miles of trails in central Mississippi (Winston and Choctaw Counties). The Outer Loop trail is hilly and remote and riders need to wear blaze orange during hunting season. One trailhead is located at the Choctaw Lake National Recreation Area. Columbus Riverwalk & Trail
This paved trail is 4.4 miles long and follows the Tenn-Tom Waterway with scenic views of the water. It’s a wide trail and is used by walkers, joggers, and bikers.
