Come to town for a great Southeastern Conference game. Stay for the Starkville experience.
Bulldog Nation knows that Starkville is Mississippi’s College Town! But it is also a history town. An arts and music town. A shopping and dining town. An outdoor adventure town.
Grab Your Game Day Gear
Get game day ready by shopping for apparel in historic downtown Starkville. If you are searching for MSU gear, stop into Maroon & Co., B Unlimited or The Book Mart & Café.
Looking to sport your Saturday best? Check out Reed’s, George-Mary’s or L.A. Green. Don’t forget your cowbell! It’s the must-have gameday accessory.

Pre-Game in the Cotton District
No trip to Starkville is complete without a visit to the Cotton District and gameday is no
exception! This walkable neighborhood is the perfect location to enjoy pregame food and drinks at a variety of locally owned restaurants and bars, including Bin 612, Two Brothers Smoked Meats, Bulldog Burger Co., and many more. Bonus! You are mere steps from Davis- Wade Stadium at Scott Field.

Tailgate in the Junction
If it’s game day in Starkville, it’s time for tailgating! Be sure to head to The Junction, directly across from Davis Wade Stadium, to be in the heart of some of the most exciting tailgating in the south.
Have a sweet treat at the MAFES Cheese Store, less than a five-minute walk from the stadium. At MAFES, you will have some of the best ice cream and cheese in your life, made right on campus. We recommend the muscadine ripple ice cream and Edam cheese.

Two hours before the game begins, walk over to the Dawg Walk in the Junction. MSU football players and coaching staff, the Famous Maroon Band, Cheer and Pep Squads, and even Bully himself walk through and are welcomed into Davis Wade Stadium with cowbells and cheers.
Post Game Nightlife
It’s time to celebrate that Bulldog victory with post game fun at one of Starkville’s legendary live music spots! Stop into Dave’s Dark Horse Tavern to see local and regional acts while dining on New York or Chicago style pizza and enjoying one of the many beers on tap. The perfect place to dance the night away, Rick’s Cafe has hosted acts as varied as legendary rapper Snoop Dogg to 90’s country party band Mustache The Band. No matter who is performing, it’s the perfect place to end a HAIL STATE filled day.
