The upcoming fourth annual Festival of Trees, hosted by the Friends of the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum, is set to kick off this November. The festivities will begin with the “Sip & Stroll: An Opening Night Celebration” gala on Thursday, November 5, followed by the Tour of Trees on Friday, November 6, and Sunday, November 8. Tickets for the Tour of Trees are $10.
This year’s festival will feature a beautiful array of decorated trees, wreaths, and a new miniature tree category. The trees and wreaths, generously donated by the East Mississippi Lumber Company, will be decorated by local businesses and community members. As part of the fundraiser, these decorated trees and wreaths will be featured in a silent auction, giving attendees the chance to bid on and take home their favorites, complete with decorations.
In addition to viewing the trees and wreaths, attendees will be able to see all the decorations provided by museum volunteers and vote for their favorite tree and wreath. The event continues to grow, aiming to increase community awareness and participation while raising funds for the museum through sponsorships and donations.
