Open call for submissions for our next Workshop Gallery exhibit – Cartoon Exhibition, which will showcase artwork in the cartoon style. This show will be on display in the Starkville Area Arts Council lower-level gallery as well as online.

The exhibit will run from November 1st, 2023 to December 22, 2023.
Cartoons have a long history in the world of art and satire, playing with elastic versions of reality.

This exhibition seeks to view this stylized industry. References could include rubber hose animation, political art and caricatures, comics and sequential art, new school tattoos, and more. All works must be original to the artist, having no characters owned by another company or individual. If your work is referencing something in the public domain, it must be found within your statement.

The interpretation can be literal or conceptual but be aware that works not related to the theme will not be accepted.

The deadline to submit works is October 19 at Midnight.
