The Greater Starkville Development Partnership held a ribbon cutting for Wendy's on October 11. The newly built Wendy's features a stylish interior. The Starkville location is the only place in the entire Wendy's network with Javaccino's, an upscale coffee bar serving specialty hot and iced beverages such as Javaccino's Cafe Blend, Rainforest Select, cappuccinos, lattes, espressos and tea, plus a selection of desserts. Wendy's is open for breakfast Monday through Saturday 6 to 10:30 a.m. and Sunday 7 to 10:30 a.m. The restaurant is also open late and offers free WiFi. Pioneer offers two types of programs for patients suffering from mental illness. Partial hospitalization is a time limited, active program that offers structured, therapeutic, and intensive clinical services. Outpatient behavioral health services are available for patients who need less than 12 hours of therapy per week. The intensive outpatient day-treatment program includes group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, occupational therapy and nurse education, with individually developed programs for each patient. The outpatient treatment provides structural therapy three days a week, allowing patients to maintain daily routines and live at home. Patient pick up is available and lunch is provided. The Partnership celebrated its own ribbon cutting on March 29 as part of our Community-wide Open House celebration, marking our move to a newly renovated historic building in the heart of downtown Starkville. Approximately 100 people attended our ribbon cutting, and more than 125 came to Business After Hours. Many members, residents, and tourists visited throughout the two-day event, touring the building, enjoying the art exhibit and Coca-Cola Museum, and talking with staff.

February 6, 2007: ground breaking ceremony for The Citizens Bank of Philadelphia

The Citizens Bank of Philadelphia broke ground on February 6, marking the official beginning of the construction phase of its Starkville location which will be built on the former Shoney's site on Highway 12.
Scheduled to be completed in August 2007, the ecologically-friendly building will feature a glass clock tower and pavement that will allow rainwater to perk through, preventing erosion and runoff.
The Citizens Bank joined the Partnership in March 2006. In addition to their generous commitment to Vision 2010 and membership on the Committee of 100, The Citizens Bank is also the first business to officially choose one of the six specific areas within the newly renovated Partnership building for which there are naming opportunities. Their name will be attached to the community meeting room on the ground floor.

A Starkville native, Hilary graduated from Starkville High School in 1987 and from University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1992. The Partnership held a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 20 for Dr. Wesley M. Ferguson, whose dental practice is located at 300 Greensboro Street.
Dr. Ferguson bought the practice from Dr. James Long on July 1, 2006. (Dr. Long still has office hours one day a week but is enjoying semi-retirement.) Dr. Ferguson specializes in general dentistry, and office hours are by appointment. His office number is 323-2876 for more information.
